A collector's kit myself: How I collected the promo-loot for Dishonored

This blogger is hated and feared by some students, while others are fiercely fond of him. Daniel Gruzinov (owner of the YouTube channel "MetaGame Live" back in 2014 called Roman Krit with great respect: "The top one school-guider of the Russian Federation." A year later the well-known cyber-sportman and Dota player Yaroslav Kuznetsov, aka NightSniper, said about him: "He makes a nasty joke, he's a parasite on other people's work, and they were right to ban him! Because if he likes this kind of "content," it will not lead to anything good.

Wrong NS, despite his credibility: the blogger-reviewer on YouTube with the nickname Azazin Kreet in 2015 created a new channel instead of a banned one, quickly gained a huge number of subscribers, and his fans really like the "idiot" jokes, rude comments, banter and even complete nonsense at first sight, which he voices in his videos. Another positive review about this guy, from the blogger "Bad Observer" on Yandex: "That rare case where insults and expressions without censorship do not outrage the audience, but lift the mood and make you laugh.

Childhood and youth, the first youtube-channel

Roma Belousov's place of residence: some claim he was born in Ukraine, others authoritatively state that his birthplace is Krasnodar.

According to the blogger himself, he was still at school actively hanging out on the Internet - a lot of playing. And he had little idea what he was going to do after high school... There is no evidence that he went to college: most likely, Roma Krita has no higher education. But he definitely played sports in his youth, as evidenced by his muscular figure.

Worker at the factory and car-wash, waiter, seller: these and many other things the future Azazin Kreet did before his fame. And at the same time he was actively playing "Dota": according to his words, he got acquainted with this game in about 2008 or a little earlier. Having created a channel on YouTube, Roman in 2014 began to release videos from the series "Schoolboy Teaches to Play", and quickly gained several hundred thousand subscribers. The impertinent way of communicating with viewers led to the fact that in January 2015 the blogger received a warning from YouTube, and then the channel was banned.

A Collector's Own: How I Collected the Dishonored Promo Loot

It all started when the rings were forged from the pre-New Year's sale at Gamazavre, when I, tempted by the discount, dared to splurge on a story about a plague city and a vengeful dude in a mask. My January trip to a beautiful far away place had fallen through, so there was plenty of time to dive into the stealth action from Arkane Studios. Well, what happened next is clear: I liked the game, the story captivated, Korvo charmed, Emily charmed and blah-blah-blah... You all know it, and that's not actually what we're here to talk about. And it's about the sad fact for me, that so much charming in every way toy lacked a full Collector's Edition. But there were all sorts of tangible goodies, handed out at various exhibitions and attached to the game's pre-order in foreign stores. And since all sorts of gizmos and tangible gizmos usually enclosed in collector's boxes are my little girlish weakness, I decided: since the publisher, his motherfucking pussycat, didn't care to equip a box that would include not only the game disc, I would do it for my beloved self for him. With this began my campaign to collect promo-loot, thanks nothing like shopping to tone up the delicate feminine souls. Well, the shopping, of course, was done on ebay. With what could one of the most famous online flea markets please a Dishonored fan?

The Tarot cards.

First of all, of course, a deck of Tarot cards, which was included in the Special Edition (Dishonored Special Edition), sent out to the lucky ones, who pre-ordered at GameStop.com and EB, as well as raffled various gaming sites among their registered users.

My Own Collector's Edition: How I Built a Dishonored Promo Loot The Dishonored deck has already been reviewed once on our Grusha. The review was so good that there's not much to add to it. And, although, as the author has convincingly proven, the Dishonored Tarot has little in common with the proper Tarot (and therefore it's very hard to use them for their intended purpose), as a game-related artifact they are very attractive and appealing, and I just can't help passing them by. The only thing I don't agree with the reviewer is the assessment of the printing quality of the cards. Either I was lucky or she was unlucky, but I had no reason to complain about the way the paint was applied. And in my hand the cards are quite comfortable (for me, at least). And they also make a very positive impression to the touch, so it's definitely pleasant to take them in your hands. All such smooth-laminated, thick. In short, as my aunt liked to say: "When you take it in your hands - you're waving a thing. Included with the deck is a brief description of suits and detailed instructions for playing "Nancy", typed (at a glance) ten point and takes two A4 pages.

Now for the paradoxical. The thing is that the cards are not found in the original game, but they are found in Blade of Dunwall, where one of the cards, Mir, turns out to be a very important ingredient, without which it is impossible to "cook" the recipe for Old Rags and get the rune. You can find the in-game deck on the first floor of the Timsha Mansion (Mission #2), in A. Thomson's.

I should point out that I don't want you to take the name of this piece of merchandise literally. You won't need blubber or any other liquid combustible material to make it light up. All you have to do is plug it into your computer's USB port. As an alternative, you can load a small amount of batteries into the bottom of it.

Except for the color emitted by the LED inserted into the bulb, the only thing that makes it similar to the game is the logo. The same logo is on the box the bulb came in. However, the opportunity to enjoy the logo on the package "careful" sender from the glorious overseas country of Pindosia deprived me completely laced it with a postage sticker (at such moments I begin to think that in the words of M. Zadornov about the Americans really has a grain of truth, and a fair one). Well, never mind. I wasn't looking for a box, but a lamp, and it, praise be to Aliens, crossed the Atlantic and Europe without damage and is now in my possession.

Having held the pseudowarp-lamp in my hands, I can confidently say that its owners were in a less enviable position than the owners of the Tarot deck, for the quality of performance and compliance with the original in-game content, the lamp is clearly losing to the cards. It's small. No more than 10 cm in height. Even an ordinary mug seems next to her giant.

It's light and flimsy. When you look at the pre-order flyer, don't believe your eyes. What looks like time-darkened metal turns out to be the most common Chinese (it says "Made in China") plastic. It also has an orange (no, no, I'm not kidding and I'm not fooling, it's really orange) USB cord. Why they couldn't have supplied the bulb with a black cord is unclear. But unlike the flimsy bulb, the cord looks quite reliable. It's made with high-quality braided cord, just like the cord of my Razer mouse, only... orange.

The keyring is fully metal and is made after the famous main character's mask. Instead of lenses in the eye sockets there are glass crystals. The back of the head is added, so that the keyring looks more like a cyborg skull than a mask. The "skull," as it should be, is hollow inside.

Size is about the size of a peach pit. It's not much of a keychain, but the pendant, a la Corvo's face, makes all the difference. I was in the middle of a game, and I ordered it too. The transparent bag with the game logo, in which the keychain was packed, turned out to be short-lived (it split at the seam), but it gives the impression of a thing that can withstand a lot, even if it is used daily as... a keychain. In my case, however, he will not face any harsh everyday life at the bottom of a purse. It's cheap, simple, but so directly related to the game (then only expected) that it made it a very attractive purchase. It was also included in the game's Russian pre-order bundle. And rightly so. The size of the tattoo is approximately 5.5x5.5 cm, which is about the size of the back of your hand. On the back is a brief instruction manual. If I had decided to translate myself a tattoo, it would look something like this (the hand on the right is not mine, but fished out somewhere from the network by googling).

But I don't think I dare. I only have one tattoo, and the thrifty-collector's-strings of my soul resist its intended use.

A rubber replica of the Corvo mask

The mask was given out to the first customers on the night of the game's release. It was late in the evening of October 8, 2012. in Austin at GameStop headquarters. The number of possible lucky winners was limited. It should come as no surprise that by the time I started my loot-collecting campaign, Mr. Attano's hellish masks had become a rarity on ebay. And not cheap, I might add. I didn't want to pay over 200 bucks (excluding shipping) for a rubber face, though I found some signed by Arkane Studious Creative Director Rafael Colantonio himself, and I almost gave up on the mask when I stumbled across an offer for just 50 bucks, and not as an initial auction bid, but "buy at once". Judging, that there may not be another such opportunity, I waved, ordered, and on the eve of my own birthday parcel with a rubber face came to my house accompanied by a courier. Damn, it felt good.

My Collector's Own: How I Collected Dishonored Promo Loot

My Own Collector's Edition: How I Collected Dishonored Promo Loot

The mask is rubber. And so, if you put it on, it will give you the appropriate "flavor". You can't wear it for a long time, but it may well work for a spectacular appearance at the Halloween party. The mask is one-piece, and the golden elements are coloring, nothing more. The coloring is not perfect. The places where the Chinese worker's hand with a paintbrush shook are not the only ones. But if you look at it closely. The imperfections are practically invisible from afar. Instead of the magnifying lenses of the original game face, the replica has, understandably, holes. The spots on the mask that correspond to the nose and mouth mimic the texture of cloth, as the gaps between the metal parts of the game prototype were filled with cloth. The face is held on the head by a black elastic band like an elastic band from underpants. It may not be aesthetically pleasing, but it's cheap, reliable, and practical.

Either the deep-set eye sockets put unpleasant pressure on my eyes, or they move somewhere below my eyes, making it impossible to see. It's possible that this mask requires a bigger head and a rounder, more chubby face than mine. But don't mind my grumbling, though. In fact, I am happy as a pig's pussy that I got the mask. After all, it's just a mask, not a gas mask, so you can not only wear it, but also be active in it.

After I tried the mask on myself (not me in the photo above, by the way, I was on the other side of the lens at the time), I felt even more sympathy for Corvo. Poor fellow, how could he have fought and sneaked around the eaves with a mask on? He might not have worn a rubber one, or a face-sized one, but it was uncomfortable all the same. It's stuffy in there, and the visibility is limited. Though if you want to live, you'll put other things on.

The booklet is pretty thin, only 18 pages + cover, but nice. Images of the main and some of the secondary characters are provided with brief information about them. Images of assorted mobs go without explanation, just the names. Well, and the assassins Dowd (in muzzle respirators) in the booklet and did not get in for some reason.

Korvo Blade. It's obviously not a promo product, but I can't leave it out. The plastic replica of the folding blade makes me gnash my teeth with envy and desire to have it. To think that a toy dagger folds and unfolds automatically, almost like an in-game prototype! It is sold for 94 euros a penny in unpainted, half-finished, disassembled form, and assembled according to the "do it yourself" principle, which would hardly frighten the Russians. Sadness is in another - the problems with delivery of goods to Russia. To appreciate all the charm of the thing, watch the video, the first 45 seconds (followed by detailed instructions for assembly). Well, that's all... Even with the lack of a full-fledged collectible set, Dishonored still can please the gamers with a sufficient number of a variety of tangible plushies. It's just a pity that there isn't a polygraphic printable world map and/or Dunwall among them. Why a pity? Because world maps are another one of my little weaknesses. "But then again, where have we been? - I said to myself, and one evening I stayed late at work and used the public color laser for purely personal purposes. Dishonored still life was found here, second post, under the spoiler. Thanks to Pegazs for the newfound link.

The road to great fame

Not desperate, he registers a new channel a month later. Reviews on "Dota 2" and some other games - now he practically started making his own guides, because the mocking videos where he made jokes about schoolchildren's material ruined him. Those he was rudely mocking threw complaints on YouTube - that's why his first channel was banned. Azazin Kreet also released a few of his tracks (also with rude jokes and not too nice expressions), and that too found its fans.

In 2020 he made several videos on non-game topics, such as "Tea Tea Party Movies", "Unpacking Parcels from America", and they went over well with the fans. As always, the host's speech in these videos is full of rude expressions, hardly veiled insults, but the amazing thing is that fans look forward to more material from the audacious blogger. In 2017 Azazin Kreet received a gold button from YouTube for his millionth subscriber, and the number of those who humor his jokes about racism, "moms," non-traditional sex, and other crudities continues to grow.

The harsh routines of the harsh people in detention facilities do not forgive a misstep even once in prison. Show me who your friend is and I'll tell you who you are! This expression is more relevant in Russian prisons than anywhere else. And outside, not every tolerant person will have a dialogue with a rapist or, worse, a pedophile, and in prison they will be talked to on a stool! In order to avoid dealing with such prisoners, they are forcibly branded with distinctive tattoos. For every serious offense, there is a humiliating tattoo! So that the other inmates know what kind of fruit is in front of them and what kind of treatment is acceptable.

Tattoo - A dot on the nose

You can't hide your face behind clothes, so it's common practice in prison to tattoo prisoners who have distinguished themselves (in a bad way) on their faces. Depending on where the dot is, you can tell exactly what the prisoner has done wrong! On the nose is applied to snitches.

Tattoo - Eyes on the buttocks

This tattoo is found on the lowest caste of lower caste prisoners. The tattoo speaks to the harshest variation of falling in the hierarchy, that is, through sexual intercourse. There can be many reasons, but usually it is a tough violation of the thieves' code, such as leaking information to the prison administration. The tattoo is sometimes supplemented - nose, ears, mouth, but the essence remains the same.

Tattoo - Rat

Rat is a prison expression that has long since caught on outside of prison. Rats are the name given to inmates who shamelessly steal from their fellow inmates, a serious joint, for which you can at best get away with a hard time, followed by hospitalization, and/or slide down the prison pecking order.

Alien Tattoo Tag Meaning

Continued:

Celebrities with tattoos from WoW, Silent Hill, Sonic the Hedgehog and other games (photo) The U.S. Congress was scheduled to go through a process on January 6 to confirm the country's new president. But Donald Trump supporters stormed the building, so the session was postponed. Inside the U.S. parliament, pro-Trump protesters clashed with police. Several police officers were injured, and intruders were also injured.

Photos with Trump supporters at the White House showed a group of people, among whom Twitter users noted a young man with tattoos on his arm. The attention of one of them was drawn to a tattoo that was called an "antifa" tattoo in the social network, associated with the anti-fascist movement.

Only this tattoo turned out to be the "Alien Mark" or Outsider's Mark from the Arkane studio games Dishonored and Dishonored 2. The mark is a special mark that Outsider uses to give supernatural powers to his chosen people.

Lest the tattoo situation go too far, prominent game designer Harvey Smith, who has had a hand in the series, clarified on Twitter.

This character's memorable, vivid image is rarely seen as a tattoo. Nevertheless, the hero of the fascinating saga, Alien, is one of the most unique tattoos.

By depicting scary characters on his body, a person seems to associate himself with him. The seemingly creepy qualities in this case must be interpreted somewhat differently than at first it seems.

The character of the famous movie "Alien", quickly gained popularity among sci-fi fans. The image of the scary creepy monster also moved into tattoo art.

In the film, the Aliens take over the planets to spread their influence. Outwardly, they look something like lizards. It was the movements of the lizards that the actors imitated during the filming of the first films. But their habits and behavior are like those of insects, which always have a Queen at their head.

As for the Alien tattoo, its meanings will be somewhat similar to the character of the film itself. Aliens are vicious and dangerous predators who will spare no one, they have no emotions at all. The goal is only one - to destroy all life around them, leaving room only for their brethren.

Of course, you should not literally transfer such a characteristic to the owner of the tattoo. It would mean that a person with an Alien is a "hard nut", he is not so easy to figure out, much less to bend under himself. Most likely, it will not succeed at all.

The tattoo will suit people of iron character, who understand their goals in life and do not stop before any circumstances. They will be satisfied with only one thing - to achieve their goal as soon as possible. Next will be the next goal, even more ambitious.

A tattoo with an Alien can also serve as a certain talisman. Like ancient sailors who put scary monsters on their bodies to scare away evil spirits, we can say that the Alien will protect its owner from bad luck and unnecessary difficulties.

Often Alien portrayed along with his enemy - the Predator. In this case, the tattoo will symbolize the willingness to repel blows of fate, to take things as they are.

Tattoo of Pharaoh on the stomach.

Gleb has a tattoo on his stomach open jaw - "it's wild, for example." Such a tattoo refers us to a whole stylistic stratum of gangster tattoos. The barnacle is associated with fighting, wildness, survival instinct, and the ability to stand up for oneself. Also inscribed on the belly is the rapper's birth year. 1996. Such tattoos are not uncommon in the hip-hop world.

This is not the only tattoo of Pharaoh on his stomach. The artist also has a cartoon character tattooed on his stomach Woodpecker Woody and the inscription "rill to the grave," which means always be yourself.
